These components go far to keep your PC running smoothly. However, there are still alternatives you can change to disable Protected View for your Excel files.
In default the following setting are activated to protected view
- files originating from internet.
- files located in potentially unsafe location.
- from outlook attachment.
To Disable Protected View for you to Edit documents.
- Open Microsoft Excel
- Go to File > Options
- Then click Trust Center
- Click Trust Center Settings
- Select the protected view
- then uncheck box you want to disable protected view.

Presently on the left segment click Protected View and uncheck any records you might want to disable the protected view. And now when you open the files it will permit you for editing the documents.
This procedure also applies to All Microsoft Office 2016 documents ie. ms word, powerpoint.
